In my opinion the movie heat wave was a very good movie. It was very realistic too. I think the best part was when he forced the chief and editor of the newspaper to post his report on the watts riot. Bob was a very good reporter because he didn't allow the fact that he was an African American to influence him to lie in any way about the riot. He never took a side on the riot all he did was tell the truth and even tho the truth wasn't very good for either side he didn't care because he wanted to make a difference and stop the riot from spreading and getting to out of hand. I love the fact that he didn't even let his best friend get in the way of him telling the truth. J.T was in my opinion a very negative person because he was angry and jealous of Bobs ambition and success. In that time the job that Bob had was a big deal for his people. He never gave up or gave in like his friend or father. No matter how hard it was he succeeded instead of being a drunk like them. The riot affected many people and put a lot of peoples lives at risk. Bob put his life on the line but he didn't care. He was a great reporter and he showed what real journalism is and how its done.

I believe that the news staff will be the best staff because we are a small group that are really social and active. We have the advantage that the other staffs wont have because they are bigger, and with a smaller staff you are able to communicate more and its easier to talk to each other. Most of us are very social we all have specifics groups of people that we talk to and that helps us stay organized and get information faster.

This story interests me and i think it would be good to write about because we live in a community that does have some gang violence. It would be nice to tell the kids of Bell High School how wrong it is to be joining crews and gangs and how dangerous it can be.

All the Presidents Men "review"

All the Presidents Men was a very good movie that motivated me to be a good and dedicated journalist. It makes journalism seem more like a hobby instead of a job. Although there is a lot of responsibility you need to take as a journalist and you can never mess up or mix up information. Bob Woodward and Carl Bernstein were two very dedicated journalist who were not afraid of the consequences and did not stop searching or digging for information no matter how many times they failed. Journalism seems to be very important because you deliver the news to the people and anything you say or write will make a big affect. Being a journalist you have to make sure that you always introduce yourself before getting any information or asking any questions. You also need to remember to always run by what you are going to be writing about with the person you are writing about, not asking for an approval but just so they know what your talking about. Journalist need to be willing to take risks and be able to do things without asking anyone.
